The time for epic battles in Runes of Magic has arrived. Siege Wars further expand the world of Taborea by one more exciting feature. Whole guilds can enter the battlefield to take their opponents’ castle. The upcoming content update will see the launch of the beta phase of the new Player vs Player mode. The definitive launch of the siege wars will then follow with the launch of ‘Chapter III - The Elder Kingdoms’.
Two guilds, two castles and the goal of hammering the opponent within his own four walls – the Siege Wars make it possible!
Right from Chapter I, guilds have been able to have their own strongholds which they have been able to individually furnish and extend with additional buildings. As a part of Chapter III, the newly introduced battles will also include new bonuses – increased running speed, for example and it will also be possible to build siege weapons: from catapults to rams and arrow throwers – the guild wars will deliver a comprehensive arsenal of weapons of war.
Strategically important energy nodes on the battlefield will want to be captured as they will provide the necessary resources for the construction of battle weapons or towers. Should a team break through the enemy’s castle walls and make it to the throne room, then the defenders will have to protect the energy crystal which is lodged there. If the team should seize all of the opponents’ crystals as well as their resource nodes, then the battle is won. Special rewards and titles beckon for the victorious guilds.
From the launch of the feature, which will arrive with the update ‘Patch 2.1.7. Siege Wars’, our players will have a good month to give the battles a thorough testing and to give feedback. We will be ultimately implementing the new PvP mode into the online game world to its full extent within the framework of ‘Chapter III – The Elder Kingdoms’.
