Yesterday marked the beginning of a new year according to the Chinese calendar - the Year of the Ox.
The Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays, lasting for almost the whole week and our friends at Runewaker are celebrating this week with their friends and families.
According to Chinese astrology, "the Ox is thought to be the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things." (Wikipedia).
We think that this is a very auspicious time to add a new element of testing and improving the quality of Runes of Magic: We are setting up an internal European testserver. The new testserver allows us to significantly improve the quality of the coming patches and will allow our selected community members to preview upcoming content and maybe have a few hints and guides ready when the content is finally released.
Because of all this the next new patch to the live servers needs to be delayed until Thursday, 12 February 2009. (Nonetheless we will be applying hotfixes when necessary).
With all this said: Keong hee huat chye! Congratulations and be prosperous!
