Question: Are Annelia and Sismond supposed to be in the video?

Answer: You’re welcome to include them but it’s definitely not a necessity. It was simply a suggestion. You could also choose two NPC’s, your character or even your pet as a protagonist. The possibilities are endless!

Question: Where can I find video material that I can use?

Answer: You're welcome to use whatever material you wish, however, you can also find videos on our YouTube Channel, Website, small decorative graphics you can find in our Fansite Kit, the wallpaper gallery, artwork gallery and screenshots are at your disposal.

Question: Do I have to use the Magic Hub for the recording?

Answer: Of course not. The Magic Hub is what we recommend if you don’t have a licensed recording tool. If you have another program you’d like to use, feel free to use it.

Tips and tricks:

First comes the plan, then the realisation!

• Listen to “Betrayed” by Van Canto again and again to get a feel for the story of the song. This could give you some ideas for your video.
• Make a storyboard or a plan of how the video should unfold.
• Write a small script of what you want to do when.
• Ask your friends and guild mates for help!
• Record individual videos and then cut them so that they fit with the music.
• Show your guildmates and friends what you’ve created, and ask them for feedback!
• Make your final adjustments and send your Machinima to event@runesofmagic.com.

• You might get some inspiration in our Fan Art forum.
• Use RoM in any way you can imagine! Wear a costume, arrange your house according to the song, visit instances, ride along the unbeaten track and get support from your guildmates and friends!
