Goldrush in Taborea
Heroes & adventurers of Taborea, hear our call! The Treasure Chests of Taborea have been plundered! We call upon all of you to come forth and help us to retrieve as many of the lost gold bars as possible.
Rumor has it that monsters of all sorts have taken a liking to the taste of the precious metal, devouring and digesting it. The excreted remains are black bars, worth much less than our much needed gold bars*.
Pick up your arms and magic and slay any monster out there! The faster the better, perhaps you can even save a Gold Bar before it turns black.

Starting on the 28 July 2011 at 15:00 Runes of Magic players can gather gold or black bars from all monsters across Taborea, regardless of their size or strength. Rumors have it that exterminating monsters within dungeons and the world battlefields may give you a stronger chance than in the open fields.
Each day, 50 black bars can be traded in three times per day to your friendly neighbourhood NPC “Eve” in Varanas for a bundle containing: 1x Experience Potion (Experience gained increased by 50% for 1 hour), 1x Skill Potion (1 hour increased TP by 50%) and 1x Transport Rune (Using transport rune will consume 1 Transport Rune).
Eve's good friend Evangelin stands next to her in Varanas, and will also hand any player at Level 10 or above a nice bundle once per day, containing 100 Guild Runes and 1x Guild Contribution Package (Big)!
Lucky enough to find a gold bar? You will be automatically entered into our special competition, giving you the chance to win one of the following *prizes:

- Rank 2: 1x Silver Bar worth ~ €600

The event will end on the 11th August 2011 at 11:00 CEST.
Winners will be contacted via email as soon as all viable information has been gathered and winners chosen!
In addition to this great in-game event we will increase earned Experience Points by 50% & Talent Points by 100%** from the 6 August 2011 at 00:01h to the 7th August 2011 at 23:59h CEST!
*Important: if you want to win one of the main prizes, do not delete the gold bar and keep it in your inventory! One (1) will suffice to enter the contest automatically.
** 50% more EP for slain monsters and finished quests & 100% more TP for slain monsters.
