The main release phase of the third chapter of Runes of Magic will take place on the 18th May 2010 within the framework of the staged launch.

There will also be a special retail boxed version of ‘Chapter III – The Elder Kingdoms’ available at €9,99 (MSRP) within the German & Spanish-speaking territories from the 14th of May.

Along with the complete game software, those who purchase the box version will receive exclusive collector’s items exclusive to this edition. Among these is a virtual Wolf pet which will accompany players’ every step in the game world and which will regularly grant players a bonus through collecting Experience points.

Players have until the 30th May to redeem a code from the boxed version to then receive an upgraded version of the companion which will also grant additional bonuses. The boxed version will also include a printed manual and a poster.

The boxed version also offers a further in-game goodie: a Mammoth with steel armour as a time-limited usable mount. Adventurers’ first steps in the game world will be further eased with the enclosed Starter Pack worth over 10 Euros: For example, there is an experience drink so that players can level up faster for a defined period, or they can upgrade their weapons and armour using the supplied reagent.

The launch of the update on 18th May marks the main release of Runes of Magic ‘Chapter III – The Elder Kingdoms’. There will then be a new territory loaded onto the live servers from as early as June, within the framework of the third chapter. Further content will follow on a monthly basis.
