Revenge of the Zurhidon

The Zurhidon have been rather quiet lately. Once, a long time ago, as some of the older adventurers might remember, the Zurhidon tried to invade the lands Taboreas with their armies of undead and demons - but the defenders of Varanas' and the forces of fighters, heroes and soldiers repelled their vain attempts.

They left the world in peace and explorers ventured out to discover new lands, new secrets and old knowledge and keeping the monsters at bay was the hardest task for many of the men and women of Taborea striving to make this world a place to raise their children in.
Trade routes were established between Varanas and the Obsidian Bastion, leading through Harf and Silverfell and across the Dragonfang Ridge. Trade boomed and more people got used to a live in luxury.

But then, suddenly news broke that the network of trade routes was in peril. Caravans were lost, food, crafting materials and other precious goods never reached their destination. Troops that were sent to investigate the matter never returned and so the leaders of the two great cities called for the help of the adventurer's guilds to protect the trade caravans.

The first caravan protected by these brave men and women made it through to Varanas City - and they lived to tell the story:

The Zurhidon, summoned by a strange Runeportal, attacked the travelers!

Thanks to the coordinated counterattack by the caravan's guards they were driven back and killed without too many casualties on the defender's side.

Now the reason was clear: the Zurhidon were back!
