Your Runes of Magic Team

Over the course of the last few months we have been working on adjustments to the password function of our account system in order to ensure better security for our players.

Through this we have made it possible to set up different passwords to access the game, account system and forum.

In addition, new passwords must satisfy the following requirements:

• At least 6 characters, max. 32 characters*
• At least 1 number
• At least 1 capital letter
• At least 1 lowercase letter

To guarantee maximum security, it is necessary to set 3 unique passwords.

To ensure the security of our players while we implement the new system, it will be necessary to reset the passwords of all Runes of Magic players that registered before the 4th of November 2010 at 12:00 CET (11am UK).

On Thursday, the 4th of November 2010 at 4:00h CET (3am UK), we will bring down all European Runes of Magic servers to enable the password function adjustments which will end with a restart of all servers at 8:00h CET (7am UK). During that time an email will be sent to all registered players as to inform our community of this change. 

Follow the easy to reproduce steps in the email. This will take no longer than 5 minutes.

1. Click on the link in the email
2. Click the button on the page
3. After clicking the button an email will be sent, including your new passwords (Game Account, Account System & Forum) and a key for *25 Diamonds!
4. Any other change of passwords thereafter works as usual over the account management system.

These wide-ranging measures ensure our players better protection against hackers.

In case any of our players did not receive the mentioned email, it can be requested again upon visiting this page.

Each eMail, including the link to the new password generation for our registered Runes of Magic players, was sent out successfully at 4:00h CET. Due to the great amount of existing game accounts the login into Runes of Magic may be delayed for some of our Runes of Magic players. We will update on this page once the process has been completed.

Please note

After receiving the new passwords there is no need to repeat the process. All passwords will be added to our system automatically. If any players cannot log into Runes of Magic yet it currently means that the password process has not yet been finished and to try again later.
