1-vs.-1 Arena & Hardware upgrade

    As announced last week, we will enable the 1-vs.-1 PvP Arena in Obsidian Fortress tomorrow, Tuesday 3 March 2009.

    We will take down the Runes of Magic servers at 8am GMT / 9:00h CET to apply the new patch (Version 2.0.1.1815). The process might take up to 3 hours.

    Important: Major Hardware Upgrade

    UPDATE: For technical reasons the schedule hardware upgrade needs to be postponed by a few days. We will give you an update as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

    A few weeks ago, we mentioned that we are constantly monitoring the Runes of Magic servers' load and performance. We have now decided that it is time for a major hardware upgrade.

    On Thursday, 5 March 2009, at around 6am GMT / 7:00h CET the European Runes of Magic servers will be taken offline and should be back at approximately 2pm GMT / 15:00h CET.

    We hope that you will find that the new hardware improves game-play considerably and will relieve a number of performance issues.
