ONRPG Preview
A new preview is out - this time ONRPG.com, one of the biggest Free to Play directories, took a look at Runes of Magic and has come up with a nice verdict:
"Runes of Magic is going to provide a fun game with the usual features of most MMORPGs plus some nice innovative additions. [...] Since it is now in Open Beta and the characters created during this phase will remain after the official launch, this is a perfect time to try it out and even get a head start."

RoM on the Curse Network
The Curse Network has added a new subsection to its selected collection of games: http://rom.curse.com/
The first project is to create a comprehensive database of Runes of Magic User Interface Add-Ons. Everyone who has already created an add-on is invited to upload their project here: http://rom.curseforge.com/create-project/
The goal is to create "the biggest addon database out there" - thanks to its easy accessibility and the clear categorisation, your add-ons can be easily found and used.
Curse and Curseforge also offer a wide range of other services and functionalities that should considerably support a wide range of add-on developers.
Hotfix applied today
Today saw the publish of a hotfix to the Runes of Magic servers - the list of changes can be found on the forums.
Please note that this hotfix was intended to fix some important issues that crept up after the release of the last patch. New features and content, together with many more fixes and corrections (e.g. restoring the malfunctioning Arcane Transmutor back to full working order) will be introduced with the next major patch, scheduled for 12 February 2009.
