Since the release of Chapter 2 we have provided several big content updates, so we thought it was time to build a new full client for Runes of Magic.

Now the new client version (2.1.6.2049) is available in two parts on our website, the download-tool and soon from all our partner mirrors. A little patching is required and voila - you're there.

Today we have made a minor change to the server selection at Diamond purchases: From now on, players can only purchase Diamonds on the servers with at least one level 1 character. We want to avoid that you accidentally buy Diamonds for a server you cannot use them on.

Dear Runes of Magic Community,

in regard to higher loss of equipment durability we uploaded a patch around 7am GMT / 8:00 CET to revert the situation before patch 2.1.6.

The effect should have normalized thanks to this measure.

Our teams currently test the feature to further investigate the cause of this unwanted effect. Once the feature is ready we will apply it again fully functional with a new patch.

Dear Runes of Magic Community,

Servers and forums are back up again.

We are still analysing the data we have gathered so far and are looking into making changes to the item durability loss issue.

Please be so kind and refrain from reporting this issue or the individual cases of character's losing items. We have enough data on this. If you encounter technical issues, please report them in the technical forums.

Once we have more information for you, we'll keep you updated on our forums.

This Tuesday, 17 November 2009 the Runes of Magic servers will remain online and we will not interrupt your gameplay. However we are still aiming to do a bit of maintenance later this week.

Keep an eye on this spot, we'll post an update with more details.

Don't forget!

At 11:00pm BST / 12:00 CEST  Forums, Website and Runes of Magic Servers will be taken offline for 24 hours. This is due to prepare the launch of Chapter II - The Elven Prophecy.

The servers will be back online at Tuesday, 15. September 2009 at 11:00pm BST / 12:00 CEST. In the meantime there will be some great events for you to enjoy, so visit our homepage at www.runesofmagic.com!

During todays server maintenance we took the last steps to prepare Patch 1.9 - Naga's Awakening.

You may now download the newest content patch to join us in making our first steps toward Chapter II: The Elven Prophecy!

At our brand new content page for Patch 1.9 you will find a lot of details about the Weeping Coast, their inhabitants and the new high-end underwater instance "Heart of the Ocean".

The server maintenance will be pushed to 15:00 due to a localisation patch.

The server maintenance needs to be extended until 4pm BST / 17:00h CEST for additional testing.
