Style and Structure

• You must submit at least one (1) single framed photo story or webcomic with a maximum of four (4) panels
• You can use Runes of Magic ingame screenshots for your panels.
• Should you wish to use real life photos, make sure your speech bubbles are filled with text suitable for Runes of Magic
• Every comic has to have speech bubbles filled with story text. If you need ideas, check out other photo stories or webcomics on the web or teen magazines and their photo stories
• All of your work must be submitted at the same time for any particular title
• Please submit your work in .png, .jpg or .gif file formats

How to Submit

To submit your comic just log onto our forums and visit our contest section.

You will find a thread with the name "RoM Photo Story Contest", where you can post your creation.

What are we looking for?

The following considerations will help you create a valid submission that can be brought to the judging panel:

• Subject - only Runes of Magic references may be used.
• Creativity - It has to be your own idea/creation. No copycats.

What are we NOT looking for?

Submission of any of the following will get your submission disqualified immediately:

• Nudity
• Copyrighted material
• Sexual acts (simulated or actual)

After you've created your masterpiece, upload your comic to our forum no later than on 29th March 2010!

Winners will be announced shortly after they have been selected.

Since Monday we're running the great "Find the Runewalker"-Event and already found four lucky winners who managed to challenge the evil Mage to a duel and can already enjoy their 1,000 Euros prize money.

Today you have the last chance to find the Runewalker and challenge him to a duel. From 17:00h CET (4pm GMT) to 22:00h CET (9pm GMT) the Runewalker will appear every 15 minutes on a random server at a random location. The first to challenge him wins an Item package and takes part in a €1,000 prize draw.

And everybody logging in today - at any time on any server - also has the chance on an additional €1,000!

On Monday, 22 February 2010, we will determine and announce the winner of the Friday Challenge and the winner of the special prize of €1,000!

After the last duel of the last day of the event we will draw an additional winner out of all players logged in during The Runewalker event. That means that you not only have the chance to win 1,000 Euro a day but an additional 1,000 Euro after the end of the event - just for logging in.

The Runewalker will appear at a random spot on any of the available server. Between 17:00h CET (4pm GMT) and 22:00h CET (9pm GMT) you will have up to 20 chances a day to challenge him to a duel. (For further information on participating in this event, please see our Conditions of Participation.)

The typical marathon distance is approx. 42km. We gave you 55 or even 110 levels to master. This of course in the fastest possible time.

Countless monsters had to lose their lives under the spells and swords of the ones hungry for victory. The sound of war echoed through every area of Taborea, everyone was eager to win the murderous chase to the top.

Not everyone could win but the ones who did, did a great job and earned their prizes well. We would like to congratulate them and honor these efforts with 6000 diamonds overall.

The Christmas holiday season is near and even on Taborea people putting knives and swords into each other and instead wrap them in colourful paper and put a nice bow on it.

Runes of Magic has players all over the world - from (very close to) the North Pole down to the lands of Kangaroos and Kiwis people spend their time on Taborea.

On Halloween a tasty in-game pumpkin-based event will launch in Runes of Magic.

On 27th October, every player of the online role play game will be able to experience the Taborean Pumpkin Festival.

The high point of the Halloween festival will be the event zone at the Oblivion Shrine.

This is where there will be an exciting challenge to master:

Players are going to meet up with some wild Pumpkin Monsters along with some crazy Demon Pumpkins as well.

Only those who are able to skilfully use the captured seeds to defend themselves against the superiority of the Halloween fruit will be credited with points.

At the end of each round, on the basis of their points, all participating players will be awarded the so-called Mad Fire.

Adventurers can then exchange this Halloween currency for gifts within the context of the event. The Mad Fire can be cashed in for parts of a special Pumpkin Festival set, from transformation drinks right up to small companions.

Whoever is especially successful at bagging the Mad Fire will also secure up to two rare titles. ‘Let's Rock! Kaz!” and ‘Kaz Madness’ can be earned exclusively during the Pumpkin Festival.

This will run in this year up until 10th November.

Welcome to the first part of a new event: "The Revenge of the Zurhidon".

Starting on 14 October 2009 this event will be run on all European servers - every week we will visit two servers so that all of you will have the chance to participate. The details can be found below.

You will find that the Zurhidon are trying to block the trade routes and it will be up to you to repel their attacks.

When the event starts, you'll get all the necessary information through the in-game ticker where the Zurhidon will attack.

Sharpen your swords and ready your most powerful spells - you will need it!

General information

• Before the event starts, you will be notified by the ticker on which channel we run the event - that gives those not wishing to participate enough time to move to a different channel.
• Please note that it may be possible for your character to die in the course of the event. If you wish to not build up XP or TP debt, you should not participate.
