As some already might have noticed, our forums are intermittently unavailable or unresponsive.

We are experiencing technical difficulties and will have to take down the boards for maintenance. At the moment we do not have an ETA when the maintenance is over, but we will keep you posted.

At 9.30am GMT / 10.30am CET the servers have been taken offline for maintenance and data analysis. We will keep you posted when the servers return to service. When the servers are back, we are entering Phase 3 of the Closed Beta.

We expect that the Open Beta will start early December. If you want to take part and haven't done so yet, register here on the site or participate in one of the competitions.

We would like to thank all of you who have participated in the stress test and sent us their feedback.

The servers have been taken down recently and will be once more available for the starting of the stresstest at 20:00 GMT+1.
For the duration of the test we have enabled a special forum sektion.
The remaining Beta Forums will be deactivated so that every participant may concentrate entirely on the stresstest.

The servers are running and the preparation for the coming stresstest  next thursday are as good as done.
We want to remind everyone that this is still the Closed Beta: Phase 2. So players can play as much as they want!

We will need YOUR help at thursday, the 10.30.2008 and saturday, the 11.01.2008
Please try to be there when we begin our huge stresstest.
And you can never know if there won't be a certain fox in human disguise between you all...

With the start of the Closed Beta Phase 3 we reach another checkpoint which cannot be forgotten to make sure we have a smooth Open Beta and later on release launch:
The STRESSTESTs!

To test the server structures to their very core we will try to "burden" the servers as hard as possible.
What this means you can read here in detail (all times being German Time, GMT +1):

10.27.08 (Mo): Realmwide Wipe of all characters
This is required to ensure a perfect testing from zero (0) with no data waste.

10.30.08 (Thur): 12:00 Stresstest 1 - server down
10.30.08 (Thur): 20:00 - server up, begin of Stresstest 1
10.31.08 (Thur): around 3:00 GMT +1 end of Stresstest 1
The servers will be taken down and data will be used to configurate the next steps.

11.01.08 (Sat): Stresstest 2
This one is being split into a few little phases to react accordingly.
12:00 until 14:00
16:00 until 18:00
20:00 until 24:00

11.02.08 (Sun): Eventuelly wipe of characters around 11:00
This depends on the evaluation of data and the end of the Stresstests 2.

As you can see we're getting closer to the start of the Open Beta and the release!
For those of you that participate in the Stresstests we enabled a special section on the forums.
Everyone who participates can and should use that section to give us feedback and talk to eah other during the downtimes.

And to ensure that no one of you is being bored to death during the downtimes of the servers, we enabled some games on the forums!

Further news about the upcoming Closed Beta: Phase 3.

Starting with the 27.10 we will begin to enable access to the Closed Beta Phase 3 from the 30.000 accounts -which are being given away by the use of competitions and by pure random- using waves every day.
Keep a finger on that refresh button of you email program, so you won't miss the message that you have been chosen!

For every player, who is longingly awaiting their chance to get part of the running closed beta, we finally have good news for you. The closed Beta: Phase 3 is ready to launch on the 2nd November and the count of participating players will be raised to 30.000! Right before that we will run two stress tests on the game severs, this will be happening on the 30.10. and 1st of November.

The new participants will be chosen in a random procedure from the roughly 100.000 already registered players. Furthermore there will be several new sweepstakes on big gaming portals, where you’ll get another chance to get access to the beta.

We are looking forward for your feedback on the beta forum!

We are proud to inform you that phase 2 of the Runes of Magic closed beta has begun today!
A new patch will be available tomorrow to the current beta testers.
The countdown to the open beta, which will start on 12.09.2008, has now begun!
