The day has come: the Closed Beta starts today and the first lucky ones will be able to explore the world of Taborea!
Remember that we count on the feedback of the community and try to use the expletively implemented Beta forums for this.

Should you not be in this first wave, do not give up: we will grant access daily to Taborea, step by step!

The Games Convention 2008 is over and while the Runes of Magic Team still tries to sort their bones, we still offer you some insight into those crazy 4 days.

Up to this point you have all enjoyed the warm weather and taken a stroll through the beautiful green fields.

Runes of Magic offers an extensive skill system, we would like to give a little insight in to how this works. In the character class menu you can see which skills are available for each class from level 1 - 10, and what effect they have.
Highlight: With certain attack combinations from the different available elements, you can trigger powerful effects!
With a successful attack sequence with up to 6 skills, the opponent can be transformed into a living bomb, causing extensive damage to all surrounding enemies when it explodes.

The further you progress in the game, the more famous you will become of course! Every 10th level you will receive a new title, which emphasizes your achievements.
This will transform a warrior into a berserker or a scout into a ranger!

And finally, a table in the character class section on the right side of the website shows which armour you can equip each class with, to best protect yourself against attacks.

Welcome to this weeks Runes of Magic Community Spotlight!

A lot has happened over the last two weeks.
The first Runes of Magic fansite was created for the English community, as well as some wiki’s and a new database.

Not only will you be able to see the first zone in Taborea at this year's Games Convention in Leipzig, giving you a preview of what awaits you in the Closed Beta starting August 28th, but Buffed.de has reported there will also be a raffle. This means a chance to win computers from Ultra Force, 22'' monitors from Iiyama and headsets from Speed Link.

MMORPG.com has recently added a new section dedicated to Runes of Magic with videos, articles and reports for you to browse. There you can also read a recently added article all about the dual class system. Don't forget to "Hype" Runes of Magic while you are there.

RPGVault.ign.com presents part 2 of the interview with Axel Schmidt - Frogsters PR manager. Here they speak about the death system, mounts and the cash shop.

A Hungarian fansite and Polish fansite have been created! All Hungarian and Polish fans of Runes of Magic now have a place where they can get information in their respective native languages.

Not too long ago you had the opportunity to enjoy the first part of an interview at RPGVault from IGN with Axel Schmidt, PR Manager at Frogster.
