This time it's a bit different! This time we added a Premium "One-in-All"-package with everything you need to upgrade your armor, weapons and accessories!

You can find our Premium Packages in the in-game Item Shop from Monday, 21 December 2009, 4pm GMT / 17:00h CET to Sunday, 27 December 2009, 22:59 pm GMT / 23:59h CET.

The typical marathon distance is approx. 42km. We gave you 55 or even 110 levels to master. This of course in the fastest possible time.

Countless monsters had to lose their lives under the spells and swords of the ones hungry for victory. The sound of war echoed through every area of Taborea, everyone was eager to win the murderous chase to the top.

Not everyone could win but the ones who did, did a great job and earned their prizes well. We would like to congratulate them and honor these efforts with 6000 diamonds overall.

Only a few more days until it's once again time to celebrate Christmas! And since we're going to be handing gifts to each other and recall the past year like everybody else, the heroic 2-men group consisting of Community Managers Jörg "Kerensky" Konnen and Mike "Silberfuchs" Kiefer will take a well deserved adventurers rest, too.

With trained precision the 12 veterans of the human & elves elite group made their way through the twisted halls of the mighty Naga Acropolis.

Weeks of preparations lay behind them until they finally found a way into the Sanctum of the Naga civilization. Built by Naga, yet commanded by Demons and led by one of the Thirteen Rings: Sirloth, the King of Terror!
And therefore the main target of the expedition by order of Varanas and the Order of the Dark Glory, pushing their bloody fight straight forward.

Once in a while flashes of recent events came up before their inner eye: their victory over the fiery Demon Dragon, freed of his shackles. Or the defeat of the new King and Naga General “Sharleedah”.
But no matter which victory lay behind them, the loss of their friends during the war against the Naga and their demonic commanders overshadowed everything and pushed them forward.

Past caged creatures, waiting for their unknown fate, they used all their feats & talents making their way into the first chamber….

Into the chamber of “Charionys”, which glided back & forth on spiderlike Legs between Vessels filled with twisted demonic offspring!

The public vote at this year’s German Game Developer Award has gone to Runes of Magic, with the game lifting the trophy in the category of ‘Best International PC Game 2009’. A great award fitting for reaching yet another milestone: we can currently point to over 2.5 million registered players in the USA, Europe and Korea.

We summoned you to vote in the public ballot for your favourite games of 2009. Within the category of ‘Best International PC Game 2009’, Runes of Magic found itself having to battle it out with titles such as RISEN and Anno 1404. The award ceremony was held at a grand gala event in the Essen Lichtburg – Germany’s largest film theatre.

The award was accepted on behalf of Frogster and Runewaker Entertainment by Frogster management board member Dirk Weyel, who commented:

“We are thrilled to receive this trophy, especially with it being one awarded by actual players themselves. We would expressly like to thank our community and we'll continue to work intensively on offering players the maximum of fun with Runes of Magic.”

To celebrate the day and also as a thank-you, we're giving every player with a character that reached level 11 at least 100 Rubies which will be automatically credited to players’ accounts in the course of the day. Runes of Magic has also been nominated for further honours: In the ‘Massively’s End-of-the-Year Reader’s Choice Awards’ Runes of Magic entered into various categories by the editorial team. Voting is continuing up until 31st December of this year.
