The Chapter of Recovery

Next to what was once the Ancient Kingdoms lay the mysterious continent of Kolydia. During the Epoch of Darkness, many refugees fled to Kolydia and took with them all of their knowledge. However, that knowledge lacked information regarding runes, and magic evolved slowly. Instead, machines played a pivotal role in everyday life.

New territories were swiftly developed. Cities were erected, and a feudal social system with imperial family and hereditary aristocracy was introduced. The time heralded by the aspirations of this young civilization is known as the Chapter of Recovery.

The Epoch of Discovery

The human civilization on Kolydia slowly reestablished ties with other peoples, which had long forgotten Guardians and demons. But little by little, the humans of Kolydia learned about runes and the Ancient Kingdoms and founded organizations to accumulate this ancient knowledge.

The most powerful of these organizations was the Eye of Wisdom. Members of the Eye of Wisdom discovered ways to improve transportation, which caused an explosion of development. Humans could reach untouched areas and discover uncharted territory. They found ancient equipment and mysterious barbarians.

As the humans took a step into the past, the veil was lifted. But every new discovery came with new mysteries. Mankind, almost crazed in its quest for knowledge, developed better and better machines to visit every corner of the world. Even other races were infected by mankind’s zeal.

And that zeal brought Taborea into the Epoch of Discovery
