The Epoch of Peace

For a while, peace found its way into the world. But the terror of the past still gripped the hearts of Taboreans. Since some demons were still free, humans had to develop a method to catch those remaining.

Using the most powerful rune magic, they created gigantic stone statues as powerful as the mighty dragons. These cold, emotionless, unbiased statues were called 'Guardians'. Under their protection, peace was secured, which is why this era is called the Epoch of Peace.

The Epoch of Storm

After the Epoch of Peace came the Epoch of Storm. The exact time of this era is unknown. The only thing that is known is that the Guardians were involved. They felt a new war was looming and thought human civilization was heading toward catastrophe. And so, the Guardians began to wipe it out.

Taboreans did not have the power of their ancestors and were helpless against the Guardian's onslaught. The only option humans had was to flee.

It took only a year before human civilization was annihilated, and the Ancient Kingdoms became just another page in the Taborea's history.

The Epoch of Darkness

On their hunt for the last traces of human civilization, the Guardians encountered dragons and elementals and considered them hostile due to their immense power. But the Guardians were man-made entities and no match for the divine creatures. So, one after another the Guardians were destroyed. Those that were not destroyed fell into a deep slumber.

The surviving humans had lost everything, but other peoples also had suffered great losses. Taboreans returned to living without magic or machines, driven by fear, insanity and superstition, unable to crawl out of their pit of despair.

This period entered history as the Epoch of Darkness, and eventually, the survivors of the Ancient Kingdoms developed a new culture. Today, we refer to those survivors as barbarians..
