General Terms and Conditions for Participation in ‘The €6000 Challenge’

1. In General/Duration of Competition

  1. Participation in the competition ‘The €6000 Challenge’ from Frogster Online Gaming GmbH (‘Frogster’) is free of charge and non-binding. Users can end their participation in the competition at any time by sending an email to Frogster Online Gaming GmbH (support@runesofmagic.com).
  2. The competition will be held between February 15th and February 19th 2010 within the ‘Runes of Magic’ game.
  3. Between 17.00 and 22.00 GMT+1 during this period a Gamemaster (GM) will be present on a pre-selected server and travel invisibly to a designated point whereupon he will become visible and then remain in the surrounding area. After duelling with a player who challenges the GM, the GM will disappear from the designated spot and find a new area. The GM will remain in one place for a maximum of 15 minutes and will accept only the first dual challenge he receives.
  4. The choice of on which server, and at which time, the GM will appear remains at Frogster’s discretion.

2. Prerequisites for Entry

  1. The competition is open only to participants over the age of 18 and resident in the European Union. Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Employees of Frogster Online Gaming GmbH and Frogster Interactive Pictures AG and their families are not eligible to participate.
  2. Through participation all participants agree to the existing participation requirements. Legal recourse is excluded.
  3. Frogster reserves the right to disqualify participants from the competition who attempt to manipulate the participation process, the technical system and/or the choosing of winners, or the website; as well as those who do not respect the pre-agreed terms and conditions of participation, behave contrary to public decency, or try to influence the results of the competition by employing dishonest behaviour and methods.

    4. 3. Determining and Notification of the Winner

    1. The winner will be determined as follows: The first player to challenge the GM to a dual will win a package of five Golden Repair Hammers and one God's Redemption Ticket. One winner will be drawn from all duellers on any one day and will win 1000 Euros. At the end of the competition (Friday, 19th February 2010) one winner will be chosen randomly out of all players to have logged into ‘Runes of magic’ during the competition and will also win 1000 Euros.
    2. The winner will be notified by email as well as supplied with information on how to claim the prize. Should a winner not respond within the given time period stated in this email, their right to the prize will expire and an alternative winner will be selected.
    3. Participants who are awarded material prizes (e.g. in-game items) do not have to right to claim their equivalent value in cash. Prizes are non-transferrable.

    4. Data Protection

    1. The personal data listed below may be collected, saved, and processed for reasons relating to the execution of the competition.
    2. In order to indentify individual GM dual participants the GM must collect and save data within the game itself. Such data includes the player’s chat name, the time of the dual, as well as the server on which the dual took place. Additionally, screenshots of duals will be taken and saved for evidential reasons. Furthermore, the IP addresses and chat names of all players who log on to ‘Runes of Magic’ during the time period of the competition as stated above will be saved. All participants in the competition automatically give their consent to the possibility that their name may be published within the ‘Runes of Magic’ game as well on websites run by Frogster in the event of their winning a prize in the competition.
    3. The use of participant data as stated above is necessary for the execution of the competition. By participating in the competition participants automatically give their consent to such uses of their data. This consent may be revoked at any time.

    5. Declaration of consent

    Through participation in events from Frogster Online Gaming GmbH the entrants declare their consent to the production of sound and image recordings for promotional purposes without payment. Simultaneously, the entrant grants Frogster Online Gaming GmbH and Frogster Interactive Pictures AG all copyright-related usage rights, ancillary copyrights, personal and other rights (e.g. merchandizing, ancillary printing rights, online/Internet and database rights) relating to sound and/or image recordings produced during participation in competitions without recourse to payment. This includes rights to one's own image as well as legal protection of one's name and all related usage rights. The entrant has no legal recourse to claim payment whatsoever, by way of injunction or by any other means.

    6. Liability

    Frogster Online Gaming GmbH and Frogster Interactive Pictures AG do not accept any liability for any technical requirements necessary for timely participation in the competition.
